The General Meteorological Authority expected that hot weather would prevail on Saturday during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and North Upper Egypt, warm on the northern coasts, hot in South Upper Egypt, and pleasant at night and early in the morning in most parts.
The authority warned of water mist on some agricultural and highway roads near bodies of water leading to and from areas of Greater Cairo and South Lower Egypt. It may be dense at times on the northern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, the canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.
Meteorology also expected winds to be active in areas of South Sinai and North Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals, with the temperature recorded in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt at 28 degrees, the northwestern coasts at 23 degrees, and the northeastern coasts, the canal cities, and central Sinai at 25 degrees.
It is noteworthy that various parts of the country were subjected to thunderstorms of varying intensity on Thursday evening, coinciding with the heat wave.
