The planet “Hot Jupiter”, which is also called “KELT 9b”, is located 650 light years from Earth, and is located outside the solar system. (about 7,000 and 9,500 degrees Celsius), which is as hot as A-type stars – Sun-like stars that can be twice the mass of the Sun and hotter than any known giant planet. The night side has a temperature between 1,300 and 3,000 K (about 1,000 and 2,700 degrees Celsius).
This planet orbits its host star every 36 hours.
Hot Jupiters are a class of gas giant exoplanets, and are referred to as Jupiter-like in shape but with a very short orbital period. The name “Hot Jupiters” was given to this type of planet because of its great proximity to its stars and the high temperature of its surface atmosphere.
Unlike our own planet, hot Jupiter orbits very close to its stars, completing a full orbit in a few days or even hours, and, as its name suggests, has very high surface temperatures.
