Hot Ball at Medan Polrestabes, Starting with IDR 1.5 Billion in the Attic of a Drug Dealer House

KOMPAS.com – The North Sumatran Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak removes the Head of the Restabes Medan Kombes Riko Sunarko from his post.

Riko was removed because his name was mentioned during the trial for ordering his members to use the captured money from the wife of a suspected drug dealer in the amount of Rp. 75 million.

The money was used to buy a motorbike as a gift from TNI members who succeeded in thwarting drug trafficking.

Later Riko was not proven to have done this. However, Riko was still removed for further examination.

North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak said there were three violations committed by the Medan Polrestabes Narcotics Unit.

First, regarding the embezzlement of money from the search carried out as much as Rp. 600 million.

Second, the question of drug possession by the personnel of the Narcotics Unit at the Medan Polrestabes.

Then the third, about the member receiving the money from the wife of a suspected drug dealer who received Rp 300 million.

In the aftermath of the embezzlement of money, five Medan Polrestabes personnel were fired. They are First Brigadier Rikardo Siahaan, Aiptu Matredy Naibaho, Aiptu Dudi Efni, First Brigadier Marjuki Ritonga and Iptu Toto Hartono.

In court, they “singed” and called out the names of several officers.

Two Medan Polrestabes officers were transferred, namely Kompol Oloan Siahaan (Head of Drugs at Medan Police) and AKP Paul Simamora (Head of Drugs at Medan Police).

The hot ball led to the removal of the Medan Police Chief, Kombes Riko Sunarko on Friday (21/1/2022).

The hot ball that was rolling at the Medan Polrestabes began when police officers found Rp 1.5 billion in the attic of the drug dealer Jusuf’s house.

At that time, AKP Paul Simamora and his unit searched a house suspected that the owner of the house was a drug dealer, Jusuf.

From the results of the search, AKP Paul and his team found narcotics and Rp 1.5 billion in cash in the attic of Jusuf’s house.

During the search, Jusuf was not at home and the officers only met with Jusuf’s wife, Imayanti.

Of the Rp 1.5 billion, AKP Paul and his team embezzled part of the money, namely Rp 600 million.

Meanwhile, the remaining Rp 850 million was handed over as evidence for investigations and searches.

For this action, the wife of a drug dealer, Ima Yanti objected and reported the matter to the North Sumatra Police Propam.

The North Sumatra Police Propam then arrested AKP Paul and his team including Brigadier Rikardo. During the arrest, ecstasy and drugs were found which turned out to belong to one of the perpetrators.

“From the arrests, it was also found that the perpetrators were found to have several pills of ecstasy and drugs,” said the Kapolda.

During the trial, it was revealed that there was a cash flow of Rp. 300 million, through Rusdi as Imayanti’s lawyer.

The police chief said the money was used to release the drug dealer’s wife, Imayanti.

“Based on the statement made by Bripka Rikardo in court, we immediately formed a team,” he said.

From the results of the team’s search, the North Sumatran Police, assisted by the Propam Police Headquarters, examined 12 witnesses, including Bripka Rikardo, Rusdi as Ima Yanti’s lawyer, and other witnesses.

“This includes five people who are currently on trial, then AKP Paul Simamora, and Police Commissioner Oloan Siahaan, including places to buy motorbikes,” he said.

From the results of the examination by Imayanti’s attorney, Panca said the question regarding the Rp 300 million was not related to the case that was being tried.

“But the purpose and objectives, according to the lawyer’s explanation of asking about the release of Rp. 300 million, were the techniques and tactics of the legal team to prove that Ima Yanti was the wife of a drug dealer, and to reveal the fact that Kompol Olan and AKP Paul Simamora were involved. in a criminal case that is being investigated,” he said.

Meanwhile, regarding Rikardo’s statement that the money was used for press releases, motorcycle purchases, and warsik, this was heard from the code of ethics trial.

“The team has also conducted research, in the code of ethics case file, and indeed it was found that there was a statement by AKP Paul Simamora and Kompol Oloan Siahaan, which explained that the remaining Rp 166 million was used for press releases, the purchase of a motorbike, and wasrik,” he said.

The officers also examined AKP Paul Simamora and as a result, on the orders of Kompol Oloan Siahaan, Rp 66 million was distributed to the team and Rp 100 million for Kompol Oloan himself.

“When he (AKP Paul Simamora) appeared before (Kompol Oloan Siahaan), he explained that there was Rp 300 million in money, as an effort to free Ima Yanti, on the orders of Kompol Oloan, distributing Rp 66 million to be distributed to members, and Rp 100 million for himself, “said Panca.

After that, Oloan then met the Head of the Medan Polrestabes Kombes Pol Riko Sunarko.

At that time, Riko questioned the preparation of the press conference and the purchase of a motorbike to be handed over to members of Koramil 13.

In the end, the Medan Police Chief gave Rp. 7 million to buy a motorcycle, at a price of Rp. 13 million. Meanwhile, the other costs were paid by Kompol Oloan Siahaan.
