24 athletes from 12 teams entered the women’s Madison race, which will be contested over 120 laps and 30 km.
From Japan, Tsuyukazu Uchino, who also participated in the main event at the Paris Olympics, competed for the first time in combination with Mizuki Ikeda, as well as Paris gold medalists Chiara Consoni and Vittoria Guazzini (Italy), Nea Evans and Katie Archibald. (UK) participated.

In the race, Great Britain showed its presence on almost every point lap and dominated the race. Among them, Denmark, Netherlands, France, etc. gained points, but Evans and Archibald duo showed their strength in each point lap.
It was in the final stages that the race took a big turn. When the host Denmark team attacked with 30 laps remaining, the voltage in the venue rose rapidly.

In the end, Britain came in 1st place, the Netherlands came in 2nd place, France came in 3rd place, and Denmark came in 4th place, with Denmark winning the race thanks to the cheers of the packed venue.
2nd place goes to France. Great Britain took third place, beating the Netherlands to take the bronze medal. The Japanese team, which paired Uchino and Ikeda for the first time at the World Championships, finished 13th with -18 points.
