Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Widyastuti said that his party was making preparations to divert COVID-19 Reference Hospital to increase the quota of patients other than COVID-19.
The team from the Health Office has already begun to prepare for the transfer.
“We are proceeding in stages. The team has descended to the hospital in stages. We are returning several hospitals to start non-COVID services,” said Widyastuti at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday (20/9/2021).
With the transfer of the Covid-19 Referral Hospital, it is hoped that elective actions or operations that were delayed because they could not get rooms or quotas, can be carried out. Because currently the number of hospital quotas can also accommodate.
“There are several elective actions that were delayed yesterday, we can start again to be carried out in hospitals,” he said.
Currently, in Jakarta there are 140 hospitals consisting of state-owned hospitals, hospitals, vertical, private, to those belonging to the TNI/Polri who are the referrals for handling COVID-19. In fact, 15 of these hospitals are entirely dedicated to Covid-19 patients.
However, Widyastuti did not want to mention how many hospitals had begun to be transferred to handle the hospital non-COVID patients.
He only mentioned that the hospitals that were transferred were also private, vertical, owned by the TNI-POLRI, and BUMN as well, not only hospitals.
“Of course our hospital coordinates with friends at the central level and also private hospital associations in DKI,” he concluded.
