The hospital pressure left by the covid-19 pandemic in Galicia has risen again in recent hours to 48 hospitalized in total, six more, while active cases of coronavirus have also risen to 1,451, 48 more. The infections detected in a single day by any type of test have dropped to 126. Despite the decline, they remain above a hundred, mainly due to to outbreaks linked to student trips to Mallorca, which leave at least 70 infections in the Galician Community.
In Vigo there are 209 active cases, after 6 new infections, no person in the ward and 1 in the ICU.
This is extracted from the data published this Sunday morning by the Ministry of Health with records until 6:00 p.m. this Saturday that reflect how the significant rise in the number of hospitalized for coronavirus is due to the fact that there are six more people in conventional hospitalization units, up to 36; while the intensive care units (ICU) do not vary and remain at 12.
By health areas, the global number of hospitalized has risen in three of them. A Coruña-Cee has reported the most pronounced rise, with three more people admitted, accounting for 25, of which four are critical.
Meanwhile, those hospitalized in the Pontevedra-O Salnés area have grown slightly, up to eight (+1), two of them in the ICU; in Ourense-Verín-O Barco, up to six admitted (+1), of which one is in intensive care; and in Lugo-A Mariña-Monforte, with five (+1), one of them critical.
As for the three remaining areas, they remain unchanged with respect to the last day. Those of Vigo and Santiago-Barbanza only had one patient admitted to the ICU, while that of Ferrol had two patients in critical care units.
