Up-down, up-down! Between the ground floor and the seventh floor, he found time to promise the patients from Suceava that he would help them, for a fee, with a pension in case of illness. Maria Străchinescu, an elevator driver at the County Hospital, was sentenced by the magistrates of the Suceava Tribunal to three years and eight months in prison for committing several crimes of trafficking in influence. The judges also ordered the confiscation of 1,500 euros and 9,250 lei from the defendant. The decision of the Suceava magistrates is not final.
Maria Străchinescu is employed as a lifter at the “Sfântul Ioan cel Nou” County Emergency Hospital in Suceava, having as attributions the transportation of the employees from the hospital departments, of the hospitalized patients, the permanent accompaniment of the cabin and the cleaning.
According to the investigators, in the period 2008 – 2015, the defendant claimed and received, directly, from six persons, the total amount of 2,000 euros and 9,250 lei, for herself or for other persons. The woman suggested that she has an influence on some medical staff from the Suceava hospital, writes adevarul.ro.
Maria Străchinescu received a bribe from VP and DP, respectively the amounts of 1,000 euros (in March – April 2015) and 500 euros (in May – August 2015), promising that she will determine the doctors from Suceava County Hospital to I draw up a retirement file in case of illness of DP Also, in July – August 2015, the lifter asked the witness HM the amount of 500 euros. In exchange for the money, Străchinescu assured the patient that he would intervene so that the doctors would make him hospitalization and medical investigations, without him paying. In February – April 2015, the witness MA gave the elevator the amount of 2,200 lei, after she promised to determine the doctors to retire him in case of illness.
In 2008, the ANS witness offered Maria Străchinescu the amount of 3,200 lei, also in order to benefit from a retirement file in case of illness.
