The hospital crisis causes new tremors in Seine-Saint-Denis. For lack of personnel, thehospital Robert Ballanger of Aulnay-sous-Bois is forced to regulate admissions. Thus, from Friday April 21 to Tuesday May 2, 2023, only patients dropped off by the Samu or the firefighters will be taken care of within its emergency room.

A hemorrhage of caregivers that does not resolve

A week ago, Emmanuel Macron addressed the French and promised them that the emergencies would be relieved by the end of next year. In the meantime, in full caregiver hemorrhagehospitals are trying to adapt.

In Aulnay-sous-Bois, the Robert Ballanger Intercommunal Hospital Center had to take a drastic measure. Of 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.emergency teams will only be able to take care of so-called “lying down” patients, that is to say transported by the Samu or the firefighters, from April 24 to May 2.

In a communiquéthe establishment invites “adult patients to call 15 to be referred to an institution that will ensure their care. Specifying however that “pediatric and gynecological emergencies remain open to patients who will present themselves spontaneously, without prior regulation”.

A hospital on the edge

This summer, the emergency department had already had to restrict its admissions for a month.

In a long message, Christophe Prudhomme, doctor at Samu 93 and related regional adviser La France insoumise (LFI), recalls that this same hospital had closed its emergency room “in September following the work stoppage of most of the nursing staff. due to exhaustion”.

In his long note, the doctor points out the slow agony hospital services in France and the political measures that he considers harmful, such as the very recent Rist law, which came into force on Monday 3 April.

Since the latter, the salaries of temporary doctors in the public hospital are now capped: no more than 1,390 euros gross for a 24-hour call, against a salary that could sometimes reach the 4 000 euros.
