Horse drawn trailer catches fire after accident on A50 motorway reopened

In an accident on the A50 near Veghel, a horse trailer and a Tesla caught fire during rush hour. The highway was closed in both directions. Everything reopened at a quarter to seven in the evening. “But the delay will take some time,” reports the ANWB.

The horses that were transported in the trailer are safe, reports Rijkswaterstaat. The northbound highway was closed between Eerde and the Julian J. Ewell Bridge. To the south, the motorway has been closed between the Veghel-Noord exit (12) and Eerde.

Traffic had to divert onto the A2 and A59 via Den Bosch. There were long traffic jams on the A50 in both directions and the northbound delay was over an hour.
