During the Nations League duel between Wales and Turkey, former SC Freiburg professional Caglar Söyüncü unintentionally inflicted a serious-looking injury on his opponent Kieffer Moore.

In the final quarter of an hour, Söyüncü hit Moore in the face with full force in a duel for the ball. Moore had to be treated for several minutes and eventually returned to the field with a bloody head bandage.
Memories of the legendary turban myth surrounding Dieter Hoeneß were awakened – but some fans also expressed concerns on social media about whether it was medically justifiable to send Moore back onto the field with the head injury.
