Actor Tony Todd has died at the age of 69. Although he had a brilliant theater career and many film and serial roles to his credit, he became a legend of the horror genre above all. Todd was stung 27 times during filming, and thanks to his lawyer, the contract stated that he would receive $1,000 in addition to his fee for each sting. It was his colleague from the film Virginia Madsen, the representative of the main positive role, who was one of the first to express her grief over his death.
“He was happy for the fans and never hesitated when they approached him and wanted to take a picture with him. A rare actor who was open to public attention. Too bad I didn’t see him on stage. I will miss him a lot and I hope he comes to haunt me once in a while,” wrote Madsen on Instagram with a photo from the cult horror film.
In addition to the movie Candyman, Tony Todd also became famous in the horror series Irreversible Fate. It has five parts, and the late actor starred in three of them, with little screen time. As the owner of the funeral service William Bludworth, who knows that death is not to be trifled with, however, he managed to evoke strong enough feelings in the viewer to be unforgettable.

Tony Todd’s death was announced by his wife Fatima through the media, saying that he died on Wednesday at his home after a long battle with a serious illness. He left behind two children in this world.
