The new incident of domestic violence that occurred in Zakynthos is shocking. A 27-year-old man allegedly forced his 19-year-old partner to take medication to terminate her pregnancy, according to what ERT reports.

The 27-year-old went on Tuesday night to the house of his 19-year-old partner, who was two months pregnant, tied her up, beat her and forced her to take medicine.

On Wednesday morning, the 27-year-old took his partner to the Zakynthos hospital, who is hospitalized out of danger, but having miscarried.

The perpetrator was arrested following a complaint and will be brought to the prosecutor’s office on charges of domestic violence, termination of pregnancy, dangerous bodily harm and theft, as he had snatched her mobile phone from his partner, as reported by ERT.
