Three fuel tanks exploded in the industrial zone of Abu Dhabi – Musafa, near the warehouses of the oil company ADNOK, and a little later a signal was given for a fire at a construction site at the international airport, police said in the capital of the United Arab Emirates .
The Yemeni Shiite rebels (so-called “Husseins”) have claimed responsibility for the attacks, which were most likely carried out by drones.
Earlier this morning, the rebel group announced on Twitter that it was planning a “quality military operation in the United Arab Emirates in the coming hours.” The post was linked to the profile of Hussein spokesman Yahya Sari.
Both fires are under control and air traffic is unaffected, an Al Arabiya correspondent said.
There is still no information about the damage. An investigation has been launched into the causes of the fires.
