A car accident occurred in Guangfu Road, Hsinchu City, on the 21st. A high school student was hit by a logistics vehicle as she crossed the pedestrian crossing on her way to school early in the morning. The student fell to the ground on the spot and was dragged under the car. There is no danger to life, but as the logistics vehicle is not polite to pedestrians and violates the “Road Traffic Penalty Regulations”, a maximum fine of 3,600 yuan will be imposed.
At around 6 am on the 21st, a high school student was walking on the pedestrian crossing to school. A logistics vehicle that turned left had just turned from Guanxin Road to Guangfu Road. She didn’t notice the student and hit him directly from the side. The student fell to the ground on the spot and was dragged under the car. The logistic car went forward a short distance when it hit the person before stopping. Then the driver named Huang also quickly got out of the car to check and called to report the crime.

After the arrival of the fire brigade ambulance personnel, the student was rescued from under the car and sat next to the logistic car in shock. Fortunately, after a preliminary examination, she only had minor bruises. After being sent to the hospital for observation, she was now back home to recover. Police said that although the logistics vehicle drove according to traffic lights, it violated Article 44 of the “Road Traffic Penalty Regulations” because it did not give way to pedestrians. Under the law, a fine of 1,200 yuan to 3,600 yuan can be imposed.
