The horrific moment an Eastern Airlines plane dives vertically as it crashes into a mountainside in China. Video shows a passenger jet carrying 133 people crashing directly into a mountainous area in the Guangxi region.
The six-year-old Boeing 737 operated by China Eastern reportedly traveled from Kunming City to Guangzhou City in the afternoon.
The cause of the crash of plane MU5735, as well as the number of fatalities and injuries, is still unknown. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene, state media said.
In a statement regarding the incident, the Guangxi Emergency Management Department said, “A Boeing 737 passenger plane carrying 133 people from China Eastern Airlines crashed in Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi, causing a mountain fire.
