An Air India flight attendant was attacked by assailants in her hotel room in London. The horrific incident left the flight attendant with bruises.

Shocked by the attack, he immediately shouted for help. Luckily his colleagues around his room were ready to help.

The attacker ran away before being caught. Meanwhile, the victim suffered bruises as a result of the attack. He was taken to hospital for treatment. According to an official statement, the flight attendant later returned to India and was counselled.

An Air India spokesperson confirmed the frightening incident.

“We are outraged by an illegal incident at a hotel, run by a major international chain, which affected one of our team members,” a spokesperson said.

“We provide all possible support to our colleagues and the team in general, including professional counselling. Air India is also working closely with the local police to take this matter to court, and with the hotel management to ensure that such incidents do not occur. happen again,” he continued.

The airline confirmed that the safety and well-being of the crew and staff is their top priority, and they are maintaining the confidentiality of those involved.

Meanwhile, sources told TOI that the attacker is believed to be a homeless man who got into the hotel unconscious. He attacked the flight attendant with a coat hanger and dragged her across the floor as she tried to escape. At the same time, the police are currently investigating what happened.

The incident raised the level of security in parts of London. Air India pilots and flight crew living in the city have also expressed the need for increased vigilance, particularly when staying in hotels outside central London.

In addition, the attack came just a day after an 11-year-old Australian tourist was stabbed in Leicester Square, raising further concerns about security in the area.
