The end of the last seasons was an exceptionally unlucky period for Maciej Janowski. Last year, during the semi-final competition with Apator in one of the races (after a clutch system failure), the “Magica” motorcycle shot into the air, the rider himself fell to the track, and the falling machine hit him in the ankle joint.

Then, surgery and long rehabilitation were necessary. Now, after twelve months, the leader of the Wrocław Sparta once again has huge health problems after a fatal event on the track. This time, the dramatic accident occurred during the final competition in the TAURON SEC series. The serious crash occurred at the beginning of the third series of the fight for the title of the individual European champion.
In the ninth race, the Pole was pulled hard on a bend, and his hand unexpectedly got caught between the rear wheel and the fender of Jacob Thorssell. It looked as if someone was putting a secret document into a shredder!
Both speedway riders fell to the track. The Swede returned to his box on his own, while Janowski was quickly taken to hospital in Sosnowiec. According to the first, unofficial information provided by TVP Sport, his wrist was supposed to be broken. However, nothing was certain.

And on Sunday morning, Betard Sparta Wrocław shared key information on Facebook regarding the health of its captain: “Important information from our medical staff. Maciek Janowski without fractures. We are starting rehabilitation.”
It seems that the worst-case scenario has not come true. And that’s a good thing, now we’re waiting for the popular “Magic” to quickly return to the track!
Let us recall that on Wednesday (September 25), the club from the capital of Lower Silesia will face the rematch of the PGE Ekstraliga semi-final with ebut.pl Stal Gorzów. The start is at 6:00 p.m. In the first match, played at the Lubusz club’s facility, Sparta came out on top, winning 46:44.
