Horrific accident in Brăila. A 22-year-old woman, a 6-year-old girl and the guilty driver, 21, died

A 21-year-old young man, from the village of Vultureni – Cireșu commune, would not have adapted the speed to the road conditions, namely the road covered with ice and snow on certain sections, at which point he lost control of the steering wheel and entered the opposite direction, where he a car driven by a young woman from Ulmu, aged 22, hit head-on.

“Today, around 6:15 p.m., police officers from the Făura City Police were alerted by calling 112 about the fact that a road accident occurred on DJ 203. The police went to the scene and determined that a young man, aged 21, from Vultureni, while driving a car on DJ 203, from Ulmu to Jugureanu, would not have adapted the speed to the conditions of the road, i.e. the roadway covered with ice, allegedly lost control of the steering wheel direction and entered the opposite direction where it hit a car traveling in the opposite direction, driven by a 22-year-old woman from the town of Ulmu.

An extrication vehicle, two SAJ ambulances and a SMURD crew intervened on the scene to provide specialist medical aid to both drivers and two passengers in the vehicle driven by the woman. Following the resuscitation maneuvers, they declared the death of the woman, a 6-year-old girl and the 21-year-old driver. A young man, 15 years old, from the town of Ulmu, was transported to the hospital for medical care. The investigations are being continued within a criminal file prepared under the aspect of committing the crime of culpable homicide and culpable bodily harm”, the representatives of IPJ Brăila sent.
