RIYADH, KOMPAS.TV – Researchers exploring thousands of years old Saudi Arabia’s lava caves have discovered
n terrible discovery.
In the lava cave of Umm Jirsan they found thousands of human and animal bones as well as a number of animal carcasses.
Umm Jirsan is a lava cave which is an underground passage for lava flows that can reach temperatures of 2,000 degrees celsius.
After the lava cools, they will leave a cave that has a length of up to 64 kilometers.
Umm Jirsan is also a nesting place for hyenas in Saudi Arabia.
A very dense accumulation of bone was found west of the lava cave.
Reported Live Science quoted from Daily Star, about 1,900 of these bones have been analyzed by researchers.
The bones also belong to 40 different creatures, including two human bone fragments.
