Horizon Zero Dawn played at 72p on PC … and we’re not kidding

4K and 8K? Let’s not joke … the new industry standard may soon become 72p resolution! We are obviously being ironic but know that there are those who have played Horizon Zero Dawn using the 256×144 pixel resolution.

As you can see in the GIF below, Horizon Zero Dawn a 72p seems to be an undoubtedly retro style experience, a cluster of pixels on the screen that give life to rather confusing scenes where Pixel Art dominates, undoubtedly a retro-style show but the playability is obviously compromised by the fact that at this resolution it is practically impossible understand what appears on the screen and distinguish environments, weapons and enemies.

Know, in any case, that on PC it is actually possible to scale the resolution up to the glorious 72p … if you want to try, then let us know the result of your experience in the space below dedicated to comments.

In the meantime we look forward to updates on Horizon Forbidden West, new game in the Guerrilla series coming this year (barring delays) on PlayStation 4 and PS5. Forbidden West appears to have disappeared from radar after the presentation last summer but in the coming months we hope to learn more about one of the most desired PlayStation exclusives of 2021.
