Sony would rather sell a PS5 to you, a PC gamer through a few exclusives with 100 euros profit than no console at all.
Why? there is a good chance that because you have the console you will still buy a number of games on the platform, before you know it you have a whole library.

That is why the number of ps5 sales is always in the spotlight, selling more consoles = selling more games.
