In 2019, Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic were crowned mixed champions at the Hopman Cup. They have held the title ever since – because the tournament was paused for three years. In the meantime there was even talk of the final end.
However, it is now certain that the mixed competition will make its comeback in the summer. The new edition will be launched in Nice, France, in July. Federer will not defend his title, while Bencic is back.
The Olympic champion will serve in France with Leandro Riedi at her side. Spain and France have also announced their participation. A total of six teams will compete in the clay court tournament.
