Hope Probe Discovers Hydrogen Gas Cloud Surrounding Mars: Emirates Mars Exploration Project

The Emirates Mars Exploration Project revealed that the Hope Probe has monitored an extended hydrogen gas cloud surrounding the Red Planet from multiple angles, according to a tweet it posted on Twitter, attached to it with a picture, taken from July 28-30, 2021. The project indicated that the footage was integrated into the synthetic images. The orbiting blue and purple, showing the hydrogen surrounding Mars in reflected sunlight at two ultraviolet wavelengths, 102.6 nm for beta Lyman (purple) and 121.6 nm for alpha Lyman (blue).

The project said that the image shows the leakage of water from the Martian atmosphere into space.
