Hooray! Twitter Adds DM Search Feature on Android

Suara.com – Twitter finally added DM search feature (Direct Messages) in the application for Android users, after the feature was present on iOS two years ago.

The update displays a search bar at the top of the Direct Messages screen for searching message threads.

Once this feature is launched, users can find any conversation in their direct message inbox, as long as the user knows the name of the other user who sent the message.

For example, if a user has a conversation with Jeff from two years ago, typically the user will have to scroll through the messages and search for them manually.

Now, however, the user can type “Jeff” into the search bar and the username will appear.

“We have brought the DM search bar to Android and launched an improved version that allows users to search for all old conversations, not only the most recent ones,” wrote the official @TwitterSupport account.

Not only that, Twitter also seems to be working on a DM search feature that allows users to browse DMs to search for more specific message content.

Reporting from Android Central on Friday (14/5/2021), Twitter said that the feature is likely to be released at the end of this year.
