Italian League gets the green light to stage a match with spectators present. Stadiums will begin opening to fans as of 1 May 2021.
Pandemic corona virus which spread since the beginning of 2020 had a major impact on the European football industry. Fans are prohibited from watching live matches in stadiums, in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
Italy is one of the countries that has implemented rules prohibiting spectators from coming to stadiums. Several club players A league even contracted the deadly disease, so that it must be isolated independently.

Launch The Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian government allows the stadium to reopen starting May 1, 2021. This rule will be approved by the Council of Ministers on Thursday (22/4/2021).
However, there are some restrictions that need to be observed regarding this rule. The stadiums opened apply only to the regions of the yellow zone of the Corona virus pandemic.
Not only that, the fans who came were also limited in attendance. The maximum number of fans allowed to attend the stadium is up to 1,000 spectators only.
The green light for fans’ arrival at the stadium does not only apply to competitions Italian League only. The Italian government also allows the attendance of 500 fans at indoor sporting events.
The Italian government previously also granted permission for spectator attendance at the event European Cup 2020 next June. Fans are limited to 25 percent of the stadium’s capacity.
The permit from the Italian government has been sent to Italian Football Federation (FIGC). Later, the letter will be submitted to UEFA as the highest authority of European football.
