Hooligan violence erupts at Fiorentina vs Cagliari match: Clashes at the Franchi stadium

FIRENZE – Moments of tension near the “Franchi” before of the start of the match between Fiorentina e Cagliari. Circa 30-40 away fans threw tear gas towards some purple supporters, then pulling out some bars with which they hit cars and scooters. Extensive damage is currently being reported outside a supermarket in Viale dei Mille and on some cars in Via dei Sette santi.

Clashes at the Franchi, reconstruction

Thirty Cagliari fanshaving arrived in Florence by private bus, they apparently decided to abandon the predetermined route to head for Viale dei Mille violating the directives of the Florence police headquarters. Here they encountered around twenty Viola fans and the scuffles began. The police have isolated the group of Cagliari fans and are identifying them: they risk being reported and Daspo. During the scuffles, a policeman from the Cagliari digos who follows the away fans was apparently hit and ended up on the ground.
