Project framework:
Social Education eV is an autonomous, non-profit association that has existed since 2001. The association is a state-recognized center for further training and a recognized provider of youth welfare. The association, based in the Peter-Weiss-Haus in Rostock, is active in the fields of youth and adult education, cultural work, open work for children and youth, school social work and research with a wide range of projects.

Since 2015, the Hanseatic city of Rostock has been supporting the documentation center “Lichtenhagen in Memory” of Soziale Bildung eV With archives, educational contributions and web documents, we create discussion spaces for the pogrom in Rostock-Lichtenhagen as well as racism. and right-wing violence in the document center.

We participate in the scientific study with our own research projects. We are often the first point of contact for people interested in science, journalism and civil society. We connect civil society and government actors locally. From 2022, working with those affected by the pogrom from the Romanian communities Roma:nja has been the goal of the project.

Forms of education:
At least 15 to 25 educational formats should be offered for school classes and other youth and adult groups in 2025. These include city trips, project days and workshops or combined formats that adapted to the interests and prior knowledge of the groups. Project days last around 6 hours, city tours last 3-4 hours. The offers usually take place in Rostock.

Requirements:
– Independent and reliable work

– Willingness to learn content and methods independently

– Knowledge of historical-political educational work

– basic knowledge of far-right topics, right-wing violence and racism

– Participation in an entry role in January (about 4 hours, date will be set together)

– Taking over at least four project days in 2025
