On the night of June 8, a young girl named Marianne Hansen was killed in Oslo. On Saturday, a memorial service was held for Marianne, where the 25-year-old’s interest in cars played a key role.
– Marianne had a great love for everything that could last and go, says the organizer Stein Krosli.
He got to know the 25-year-old from Bamble through work, and says he was like a grandfather to her. Krosli shared Hansen’s passionate interest in cars, especially the Mini Cooper type.
The day before she was killed, they talked about taking a ride during the summer. The car trip never happened, but Krosli says he always wants Hansen with him when he sets out on the road in the future.

– Mini was the car that was closest to her heart, says Krosli.
He thinks Hansen would appreciate how she was hailed on Thursday.
– I do not know what everyone else believes in, but I think Marianne is sitting and watching us. I actually think she’s on the trip today.
Marking against violence
Marianne’s own Mini Cooper, known as “Darling”, was present when friends and family gathered to remember the 25-year-old on Saturday. The car led to a memorial race in Kongsvinger, which was also a mark against violence.

Dozens of people in the local car community lined up to show disgust at violence. Initiator Krosli wants the celebration to become an annual tradition, and hopes the event will make more people aware of violence against women.
– I not only see Marianne’s case, I see what is around and. Then you start thinking about how many women are abused and killed, Krosli says.

Had a short term relationship
A 29-year-old man from Romania has been charged with murder. He has pleaded guilty and is in custody.
According to the police, Hansen became acquainted with the man in connection with work and they had a short-term relationship in the weeks prior to the murder. The family confirms the relationship during Saturday’s memorial service.

Arrested after car accident
The Romanian was arrested in connection with an accident on the E6 shortly after the murder. He then drove in the opposite direction, and collided with a married couple in their 50s. No one was seriously injured in the accident.
It was in connection with the traffic accident that the police received information that led to the discovery of Marianne Hansen in the apartment in Hellerud.
The 29-year-old is also charged with attempted murder of the two who were in the car he collided with.
The family’s assistance lawyer Søren Ø. Hellenes tells TV 2 that they are satisfied with the police investigation so far.
– We have been informed that the accused will be held in custody until the trial.
