Honor X6a: Budget-friendly Smartphone with 90Hz Display and 5200mAh Battery

The budget-friendly Honor X-series has grown with another member in the form of the X6a, which is the continuation of the Honor X6 unveiled last September. The novelty tries to compete with its predecessor with a display that provides a higher image refresh rate, a larger battery, and faster charging.

The Honor X6a is equipped with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a total of 1612 x 720 pixels, and the panel’s refresh rate is now 90 Hz. The display is covered by a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset, supplemented by the manufacturer with 4 GB of operational memory and 128 GB of storage. This is quite a lot of space, but if it turns out to be not enough, we can expand it with a micro SD card. Another extra of the smartphone is the headphone output. It’s strange that this can be considered an extra these days.

On the back of the Honor X6a, there is a 50-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8, which is complemented by a 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. You shouldn’t expect too much from the latter two. All the more convincing is the 5200 mAh capacity battery installed inside the smartphone, which can be found with up to 22.5 watt charging.

On the software front, the Honor X6a attacks with the Android 13 operating system, supplemented by the Chinese brand’s own Magic UI 7.1 user interface.

The device will be available in cyan blue and black shades. What’s more, Honor’s novelty is already here in Europe, it is starting to be distributed in the United Kingdom, namely for HUF 58,000 in local money.
