Looking for a smartwatch that won’t break? Then the Honor Watch GS Pro is worth considering.

While IFA isn’t really making an impact this year without a physical show open to the general public, there are still some announcements coming through from the few producers who do have a presence in Berlin. For example, Honor presented the Honor Watch GS Pro today.
Military quality
Honor goes with the Honor Watch GS Pro for a durable design that must withstand the necessary shocks and bumps. After all, according to Honor, the smartwatch meets no less than 14 of the quality standards of the US military. It is unclear how many of these standards there are, but the GS Pro smartwatch should have no problem with extreme temperatures, moisture and even changing air pressure. You should therefore be able to wear this smartwatch easily when climbing Mount Everest, or just in the shower.
Huawei LiteOS
On board is Huawei LiteOS, Huawei’s own operating system. That is of course a shame for those who prefer to use WearOS, but most of the standard options you expect are undoubtedly present. GPS, for example, although there would be no support for Strava and similar third-party apps. That is somewhat disappointing, because anyone who pays 249.99 euros for a smartwatch probably wants to be able to use them while exercising.
What you do get is a sturdy watch with a 1.39-inch OLED screen with a 454 by 454 resolution and a battery life of up to 25 days as long as you don’t use the GPS. If you do, the use is limited to a few days. Whether the Honor Watch GS Pro will also come to Belgium is currently not clear. On September 7, she will already appear in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
