Jakarta

Singer Rossa’s money from a gig at the event DNA Pro Rp. 172 million was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police for confiscation. The chairman of the Democratic Party (PD) DPP Didik Mukrianto said that the police should not enforce the law take a new victim which has nothing to do with the crime of DNA Pro.

“Law enforcement must focus on material legal construction if you want to achieve justice and protect the rights of the victims, especially the victims. Instead, the law enforcement process takes new victims who have nothing to do with the main crime,” said Didik when contacted on Sunday (24/24). 4/2022).

Didik said that art workers like Rossa, who purely worked on events at DNA Pro, should be protected. He asked Rossa and other art workers not to be criminalized.

“For example, as an artistic worker who purely works according to his profession in the DNA Pro event, and is not involved in his crime, then ideally it must be protected. Do not be criminalized,” he said.

Didik explained that law enforcement must be ensured proportionally so that their sense of justice is not injured and is able to protect people who have made no mistakes. However, law enforcement must also ensure that it is not selective, indiscriminate, professional, and accountable in its application.

“I also emphasize that law enforcement remains objective and rational. Distinguish between crime and professionals,” said Didik.

“If it is clear that the art worker works professionally in his profession and there is no indication of being part of a crime, I don’t think there is any reason for investigators to take legal action or punish art workers to take responsibility,” he added.

Previously, Rossa had undergone an examination by the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Department regarding the DNA Pro trading robot on Thursday (21/4). Rossa admitted that she was asked by investigators about the money from the gig at the DNA Pro event.
