Honor will present the Magic V2 foldable smartphone today in Berlin as part of the IFA trade fair
The new feature has already had its Chinese premiere, the global premiere will take place in a few hours

Already today at 10:00 a.m. you can watch the online broadcast from the press conference of the Honor brand in Berlin, which will present at least one phone with a flexible display. As I announced in the headline, it will be a well-equipped Honor Magic V2 model, but it is possible that we will see more surprises at the Unfold Tomorrow event.
The Magic V2 is Honor’s direct answer to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, and its parameters are not a secret, as it premiered in its home country of China at the beginning of July. The equipment includes a pair of OLED panels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The outer one has a diagonal of 6.43″ and a resolution of 2,376 × 1,060 pixels, the inner one boasts a diagonal of 7.92″ and a resolution of 2,344 × 2,156 pixels. The flexible display is supposed to have an almost imperceptible bend, and in addition to fingers, it can be controlled with a stylus, which is sold separately. The internal display, thanks to, among other things, a newly designed joint made of printed titanium parts and steel bits, is supposed to handle more than 400 thousand bends.
A great attraction is the thickness of only 9.9 mm when closed or the weight of 231 grams. The heart of the Honor Magic V2 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset supported by a massive 16 GB of RAM. The storage will be offered in capacities of 256 and 512 GB. A decent surprise is the use of relatively large batteries with a total capacity of 5,000 mAh. This is a new type of silicon-carbon battery with higher energy density that Honor presented at this year’s MWC. Charging is possible with a power of up to 66 watts, wireless charging is not supported. The Honor Magic V2 runs the Android 13 operating system with the MagicOS 7.2 superstructure.
On the body of the novelty, we find a total of five cameras – three on the back, one in the opening of the external display, one in the opening of the inner panel. The selfie cameras have a resolution of 16 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.2, and the following sensors are located on the back:
