Honor has released its interpretation of a flagship with a flexible screen, the Honor Magic V2 model, the device has a set of three main cameras, I was interested to see how they shoot. And at the same time compare with other devices.
The camera characteristics are as follows:

For anyone familiar with Honor devices, the camera interface will not seem like something new; it is typical for different models.
The module protrudes slightly above the body, the cameras are covered with glass.
Let’s look at sample pictures. First, let’s compare them with the Huawei Mate X3.

In my opinion, the main camera module in the Honor V2 takes good pictures, in some cases it beats the Mate X3 (no blurred focus on a flower, better white balance on a cup of coffee). Here we are convinced that the camera is at the level of Huawei, which I really liked at the time.
It’s interesting to compare the camera with the Galaxy S23 Ultra (this is my main device). Here we see that the V2 camera processes the image more softly, there is no increase in the sharpness of details, which some may not like.

Let’s try to use the x10 zoom, which is in the Magic V2 menu, as for me, it’s completely in vain, this is a tribute to marketing. Digital zoom cannot provide a clear picture; it blurs into blurry details. Look at the lake, how I brought the greenery closer.

In one case we have an optical zoom with Samsung, in the second case we have a blurry picture. People on the mountainside, the same situation, the picture from V2 is too crumbling, something can be seen, but there is zero artistic value. So let’s take it for granted that the real zoom that can be used in the V2 is x2.5x. And that’s how it works.

Brief conclusions
Some time ago we had a blind comparison of the photo quality of Magic Vs, as well as Mate X3, Mi Mix Fold2, Galaxy Fold4. Then the model from Honor became third, behind both Samsung and Huawei. This time the gap is closing, the camera has clearly been worked on. But it’s impossible to say that this camera performs at exactly the same level. It is in the camera area that there is a lot of room for improvement for Honor and hopefully the company will realize it eventually.
