Honor 80 GT launches with 16GB of RAM and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1

KOMPAS. com – Honor officially launches the phone flagship newer, Honor 80 GT, in China on Monday (12/26/2022).

This phone complements the other three Honor 80 series family models that were released earlier for the Chinese market, namely the Honor 80 Pro, the “regular” Honor 80 and the Honor 80 SE (Special Edition).

Like the newer model, Honor 80 GT it carries different specs than the other three models that were released early last November.

Hierarchically, the Honor 80 GT is positioned after the Honor 80 Pro, followed by the regular Honor 80 and the lowest is the Honor 80 SE with the lowest specifications and more affordable price.

In terms of appearance, the Honor 80 GT has a fresher and different design from the other three models. This phone has a curved frame design (curved frame), perforated screen (hole), and there’s a sizable rectangular camera module on the back.

For screen specifications, the Honor 80 GT features a 6.67-inch OLED panel with Full HD resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels), a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a maximum screen brightness level of 1,400 nits.

In the photography industry, this phone has a camera selfie 16 megapixels (f/2.4). There are also three rear cameras consisting of a main camera with Sony IMX800 sensor with a resolution of 54MP (f/1.9), an 8MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2) and a 2MP macro camera.

For hardwareHonor 80 GT relies chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, combined with 12GB/16GB and 256GB of media storage.

This phone is backed by a 4,800mAh battery with fast charging support (fast charging) 66 watts. Meanwhile for SoftwareHonor 80 GT runs Android 12 OS coated with MagicUI 7.0 interface.

Other features offered by the Honor 80 GT include an under-screen fingerprint scanner (in-display fingerprint scanner), NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, vapor chamber cooling system, as well as USB Type-C for charging and connectors headset.

On paper, the Honor 80 GT has dimensions of 162.5 length x 75.3 width x 7.9 mm thickness and weighs 187 grams.
