Hong Moon-pyo, CEO of Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation (aT), began on-site inspections to expand K-FOOD exports starting on the 7th in Paris, France.
On the 7th, CEO Hong Moon-pyo held a meeting at the aT Paris branch to review major issues to achieve this year’s export goal and discuss next year’s export expansion strategy.
President Hong said, “Expanding K-FOOD exports is expanding Korea’s food territory,” and added, “Europe has diverse languages, races, and cultures, so we will successfully carry out strategic and detailed market development activities by segmenting the market for each consumer.” “He urged.
Next, we visited the food hall of the Bon Marché department store in the 7th district of Paris (La Grande Épicerie de Paris) and looked at the status of Korean food stores.
In addition, we met with Riz et co (CEO Joo-yeon Ji), a French importer specializing in traditional sauces produced by excellent Korean masters, to listen to local trends and difficulties related to K-FOOD imports and seek solutions.
At the site, President Hong emphasized, “It is quite encouraging that Korean agricultural and fishery products are being sold in the food hall of the world’s best luxury department store,” and added, “at aT, we will do our best to raise our national reputation by exporting excellent quality K-FOOD.”
On the same day, President Hong Moon-pyo met with Ambassador Choi Sang-dae of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the OECD and Ambassador Seung-hyun Moon of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in France and proposed further cooperation so that the excellent K-food produced in Korea can be recognized in Europe, including France, the world’s gourmet country.
