[Sports News]The 2023 Asian Karate Championships kicked off in Malacca, Malaysia today (21st). Hong Kong team Olympic representative Lau Mo-sheung continued his trend of winning medals in the women’s individual figure, and successfully defeated Japan’s rival Nozomi Shimizu to win the gold medal for the first time.

Liu Mushang, who had trained in Japan and the United States earlier this morning, fought with 108 moves in the women’s individual doll preliminary round of the Asian Championships this morning, and advanced to the first place in the group. The Olympic bronze medalist faced the Olympic silver medalist and Japan’s Nozomi Shimizu in the final, scoring 44.1 points in a 100-step streak, beating his opponent with 43.5 points to seal the historic title. Liu Mushang cried into tears after the referee announced her victory, and then embraced the head coach William Thomas.
