Organized by the “City Street Horse” and presented by Kerry Properties, the “Hong Kong Street Horse 2023” will be held on the morning of December 17, 2023 (Sunday). Nearly 20,000 runners are expected to participate in the race. Activities include Hong Kong’s first marathon (42.195 kilometers) located in the center of the city, a cross-sea half marathon (21.0975 kilometers) located in the core area, and the first 10-kilometer race on the Tseung Kwan O Cross-Bay Bridge and Tseung Lam Tunnel.
This year’s “Hong Kong Street Horse 2023” has the theme of “Run around Victoria Harbor. Do good and have fun”. This year’s event provides a fundraising platform for the following charities and projects, including the RunOurCity Foundation’s “Youth.ALL” and “BEE Own Coach” programs, the Hong Kong Blind People’s Fitness Association, and the Hong Kong Disability and Health Inclusion Network’s “Dragons Run” Team”, Run Hong Kong, Youth Development Network and The Peak Hunter Foundation and volunteer tours. MTR special train service arrangements
The MTR MTR will run the first train early on the day of the event to pick up full marathon and half marathon runners to the starting point of the event. Details are as follows:
MTR MTR will also increase the train frequency from North Point to Po Lam and Tiu Keng Leng to LOHAS Park from 7:30 to 11:00 in the morning on the event day to pick up runners heading to the 10km starting point (Lohas Park) .
Special bus route
The bus company will set up a special bus route to Victoria Park on the morning of the event to pick up full marathon and half marathon runners to the starting point of the event.
Road closures and diversion arrangements
To tie in with the event, the Transport Department will implement temporary traffic, road closures and public transport arrangements in phases on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon from 1 am to 1 pm on December 17, 2023. MTR, buses and minibuses will Make corresponding adjustments, including diversions and station relocations.
