Moscow. November 4. INTERFAX.RU – Honduras announced that it has summoned the ambassador from Israel for consultations, said the country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Torres.
This does not mean either the recall of the ambassador or the closure of our embassy there, Torres said on Saturday night on Honduran television.
According to him, calling the ambassador home is primarily necessary so that the country’s authorities learn first-hand about the actual situation in Israel.
Earlier this week, Bolivia announced it was severing diplomatic relations with Israel over what it described as the Israeli military’s disproportionate response to the Hamas attack on October 7. The presidents of Chile and Colombia, in turn, announced the recall of their ambassadors to Israel.
