Hundreds of pieces of pork have ended up on the road surface of Keulsebaan in Boxtel. It appears that the trailer of a truck tore open in the curve due to the weight of the meat. The exact cause of the incident and whether the truck was improperly loaded is still unknown.
Photos show that the trailer is still upright, but the structure has collapsed onto the road due to the weight. The pieces of pork are hanging on hooks inside the trailer. It is possible that the truck was driving too fast on the roundabout, causing the load to shift on the rails inside the trailer.
The cleanup of the pork will take some time. The roundabout in front of the Rabobank office has been closed off due to the amount of meat on the road. The truck likely came from the Vion slaughterhouse, which is a few hundred meters away.
