Unlike other continents in Europe, the Honda ZR-V will be available only with one type of 184-horsepower hybrid engine, which consists of a 2-liter gasoline unit and two electric motors. In the city, the crossover moves mostly with electricity, but on the highway, if you want to press the pedal to the floor, you have to connect to the gasoline engine. At higher speeds, it does it quite reluctantly and loudly. You can tap the paddles with the paddles under the steering wheel, which are made of aluminum just like in the sports car “Honda NSX”.
The other option is to turn on sports mode. In the city, the Honda ZR-V is in its element. Thin roof supports and a wide area of glazing already provide excellent visibility, but the mirrors are the size of real housewives. The interior of the ZR-V is more advanced than in other Honda crossovers. Many things, including a block of continuous ventilation channels, are borrowed from the new “Civic”. If we are looking for the closest ZR-V conurents, then the closest rival in terms of layout, dimensions and even power is the “Corolla Cross” hybrid. Unfortunately, the ZR-V cannot be had with all-wheel drive. In the back there is a smooth floor without a transmission tunnel and a comfortable backrest angle. The ZR-V is produced in Honda’s new mega-factory in China. Prices will be announced in July, but we will see the new crossover in Riga in September.
