PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) will launch a new car tomorrow, Wednesday (2/11/2022). This time the car that will be launched by Honda is a car in the compact SUV segment that challenges Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky. The rumor that will flow is Honda WR-V.
The car, previously introduced in the form of the RS Concept SUV, is said to carry the Honda WR-V name. This was also expressed by one of the salesmen of a Honda dealership in Jakarta.
“Yes, that’s right, the Honda WR-V,” the seller told detikcom on Tuesday (11/01/2022).
The seller also confirmed that the Honda WR-V that will be launched tomorrow will play in the same class as the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky.
Previously, Honda was diligent in introducing the RS Concept SUV. The concept car is also undergoing roadshows in various cities in Indonesia. The same was done first through the N7X concept car which later gave birth to the latest generation of the Honda BR-V. Reflecting on the same way the N7X concept became the BR-V, it is almost certain that the RS Concept SUV will be mass-produced as a competitor to the Raize-Rocky.
Also, a new code for Honda cars appeared on the NJKB Samsat DKI Jakarta page. It says “DG47” for manual transmission and “DG48” for automatic transmission. The code is also accompanied by the number 1.5 which indicates that a 1500cc engine will be incorporated.
In the new code, Honda cars are divided into five variants, namely 1.5 EM / T, 1.5 E CVT, 1.5 RS M / T, 1.5 RS CVT and 1.5 RS CVT Z. On the other hand, the NJKB of this car is more Honda BR.-V. Here is the list:
– DG47 1.5 E MT Rp 163,000,000
– DG47 1.5 RS MT Rp 180,000,000
– DG48 1.5 E CVT Rp 171,000,000
– DG48 1.5 RS CVT Rp 188,000,000
– DG48 1.5 RS CVT Z Rp 189,000,000.
For the record, the above NJKB is not an on the road price because it doesn’t include taxes. Perhaps, when it is launched, the road price of the Honda WR-V will touch Rp. 200 million.
Meanwhile, its competitor, Toyota Raize, is currently being sold for Rp. up to Rp. 232 million to Rp. 305 million. While the Daihatsu Rocky costs Rp. 205 million to Rp. 270 million.
