The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that Honda Motor will recall approximately 720,000 vehicles in the United States and 61,000 in Canada due to a fuel pump problem.
According to the authorities, there is a risk of a crack in the high-pressure fuel pump, which could cause a fuel leak and in the worst case a fire in the presence of an ignition source.
Affected vehicles include 2023-2024 Honda Accord sedans and 2023-2025 CR-V hybrid SUVs.
The Japanese manufacturer has received 145 complaints on this subject, although no bodily harm has been reported. Defective fuel pumps will be replaced.
