Honda managed to sell 10,983 units in August 2022. Interestingly, the Honda BR-V has set a new record since it was delivered to consumers earlier this year.
Retail sales (dealer-to-consumer distribution) of the Honda BR-V reached 2,545 units in August 2022. This is the highest number for the Honda BR-V since using the new look. Because in the previous month the Honda BR-V didn’t break through to 2,000 units. In total, the All New Honda BR-V has sold 14,377 units since it was delivered to consumers in January of this year.
One of the factors boosting sales of the All New Honda BR-V is currently being supported by the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) auto show.

“The various trade shows and activities we held in August also impacted the sales of the All New Honda BR-V as it provided more opportunities for consumers to directly see and experience riding the All New Honda BR-V,” , said the director of business innovation and sales and marketing. PT Honda Prospect Motor, Yusak Billy in his statement quoted on Sunday (18/9/2022).
Billy explained that the semiconductor supply problem has not yet been solved. On the other hand, sales of the Honda BR-V also did not reach the target of 40,000 units per year, which means that 3,000 units should be sold on average.
“At the same time, we also continue to monitor the condition of the supply of components which is still unstable at the moment and we continue to try as quickly as possible to meet the demand of consumers whose trend is still increasing,” he said.
Compare that to the Honda BR-V, which first debuted on display at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last August 2015. At the time, public enthusiasm for the BR-V was quite visible. When it was first launched, Honda could release 3,000 BR-V units per month. In total, 38,666 BR-V units were distributed from factories to Honda dealers in 2016.

In total, Honda managed to sell 10,983 units in August 2022, a 4% increase over the previous month’s sales. Honda collected total retail sales of 10,523 units for the period July 2022.
The biggest contribution to Honda’s sales in August again came from the Honda Brio, which sold 4,152 units. Other Honda models, most notably the All New Honda HR-V, sold 2,899 units in August 2022. While the Honda City Hatchback RS sold 620 units, the New Honda CR-V up to 591 units, the New Honda Furniture up to to 98 units, All New Honda City 63 units, all New Honda Civic RS 16 units and New Honda Accord 10 units.
