One of Honda’s potential customers vented on social media because he felt cheated by a salesperson at an authorized Honda car dealer. The Honda Nusantara dealer MT Haryono gave clarification regarding the alleged fraud case by the sales person.
In his clarification, Honda Nusantara MT Haryono said that on February 12, 2022 his party had conducted legal consultations with the police for fraudulent acts using the attributes of the Honda Nusantara MT Haryono dealer which harmed consumers and dealer operations. Currently, the case is in the process of being investigated.
“We continue to try to communicate with consumers who are victims in this case to be able to immediately find the best solution for customer satisfaction,” said Honda Nusantara MT Haryono in his clarification.
He emphasized that the Honda Nusantara dealer MT Haryono will continue to implement and tighten procedures and supervision of salesperson activities to ensure the safety and comfort of consumers. All business activities in the dealer area will also be tightened.
“To carry out safe transactions, we ask all consumers to always make transactions in accordance with applicable official procedures, especially by not making payments to any party outside the dealer’s official account in accordance with the provisions stated in the Vehicle Order Letter (SPK) and other materials. other displays in the dealer area,” he said.
“Currently, our focus is to quickly resolve this case, and make various efforts to ensure safety, comfort, and provide the best service for all of our consumers,” he concluded.
As previously reported, Yunita told the chronology of the alleged fraud case carried out by a sales person at an authorized Honda dealer. Yunita initially wanted to buy a Honda car and found a sales contact on one of the car buying and selling sites. He then made an appointment with the salesperson at the official Honda dealer in MT Haryono, Jakarta.
“He was fully clothed with Honda sales, complete with ID card and gave me a business card,” he said.
However, the transaction was carried out by transfer to a personal account, not a Honda dealer company account. Until finally, Yunita’s down payment of Rp 47 million was stolen by the sales person. Yunita reported this alleged fraud case to the South Jakarta Police.
