The electric car trend has shocked Honda, this Japanese manufacturer will add a new variant to the electrification line. CR-V The Plug In Hybrid (PHEV) and another electric car will be announced at the 2020 Beijing Motor Show.
In a press release, Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. announced that it will bring CR-V PHEV, and one electric car at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition which starts on September 26 – October 5, 2020.
“The auto show at the Honda booth will include the premiere of a concept car in the world that shows the direction of the future mass production model of the Honda brand’s first EV that will be introduced in China,” Honda wrote in its official statement.
The unnamed concept vehicle will make its world premiere in Beijing. Honda leaked a little of the design using a digital processing teaser. In the image the front end of the car features sleek LED headlamps joined together by a strip of LED lights under which is a large lit Honda logo.
As mentioned earlier, Honda will bring CR-V PHEV – Honda’s first plug-in hybrid to be introduced in the Chinese market.
In addition, various types of electric models will also be exhibited. For example, the Acura booth will cover various mass production models, while the Honda motorcycle booth will feature Honda’s FUN motorcycle models.
In Indonesia, Honda still looks quiet when several competitors are intensively introducing their electric cars. Globally, Honda already has various types of electrified vehicles ranging from hybrids such as the HR-V hybrid which has been sold in several countries, pure electricity such as the Honda e, to the hydrogen Honda Clarity FCV.
