GIRONA, 12 (EUROPA PRESS)
The Observatori Contra l’Homofbia (OCH) has reported to the Mossos d’Esquadra a homophobic attack “on three activists” that occurred early this Saturday morning outside a nightclub in Salt (Girona).
According to a statement collected by Europa Press, around 6:30 a.m. two men “said LGBT insults” and physically attacked the activists, who were treated at the Santa Caterina Hospital in Salt.
The OCH has activated the protocol against attacks and the Mossos have started an investigation to find the alleged aggressors, the Catalan police inform Europa Press.
The attack occurred at the end of an LGTBI-themed party organized by the Girona collective associations.
The Observatori Contra l’Homofbia has offered to carry out private prosecution and, with this, the incidence of discrimination or violence against LGTBI people in the province of Girona rises to seven in 2023.
