NEW YORK — A torso found in the waters off Elizabeth, New Jersey, earlier this week has led to a homicide investigation, authorities said Friday. And they are asking anyone with information on the case to call them.
Patrol units responding to South Front Street on the waterfront just before 5 p.m. Tuesday found the torso of a white male floating where the Arthur Kill tidal strait converges, the area between Staten Island and New York City. York, and Union and Middlesex counties, and the Elizabeth River.
The man has not been identified.
Anyone with information on this matter is asked to call the Elizabeth Police Department at 908-558-2041.
