Race party MotoGP Mandalika 2022 has ended when Miguel Oliveira was given the championship trophy by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Sunday (20/3). But there are many moments worth noting.
The rest of the heavy rain that flushed the Kuta area, Lombok, made puddles and muddy everywhere. Like many events in general after the party, garbage is scattered. Awareness of disposing of waste in its place is still minimal.

Some of them are willing to walk from the front of the circuit to the Songgol area, the Mandalika-Airport bypass circle. The problem is, there is no pedestrian path. There are no street lights anymore.
The mass movement at the same time caused the Central Lombok area to be heavily congested on Sunday (20/3) night. Locations that usually can be reached in only 15 minutes become an hour and a half. It takes more than three hours to get to Mataram from Mandalika.

“How do we get an ojek so we can go home? Could you please find an ojek. We haven’t got a vehicle to go home yet. The shuttle bus is difficult,” a TV One reporter told CNNIndonesia.com at around nine o’clock in the evening.
The traffic jam conditions were used by local residents to earn a living. They offer motorcycle taxi services at a rate above Rp. 50 thousand in one way. However, not all passengers can be accommodated due to stagnant road conditions.
“There was someone who asked me to take him to the airport. He was ready to pay anything. I refused, because it was impossible. The roads are very congested like this. I can only get to East Parking or Songgol,” said Nurudin, an impromptu ojek.

When the racers leave the circuit, the crew of the race contestants still have to work hard. Peacock must pack all goods into containers. All of them had to be packed that very night because they would be flown back.
This logistics must be flown to Argentina on a regular basis. The reason is, the third MotoGP race session will take place at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit in early April, which is on April 2-4.
Busyness since the morning preparing for the race, not over until midnight. When the audience is stuck in traffic on the road or even sleeping at the inn, they still pack it carefully so that there is no damage.
All logistics packaging is done by the crew themselves. Local workers at the Mandalika Circuit only help operate logistics transport cars. Even then, if the crew is sure that the quality that helps will not disappoint.
Ari Prasetyo, Director of Operations and Business Innovation for Indonesia Tourism and Development Corporate (ITDC) said that all the shortcomings that occurred in the inaugural edition of the race in Indonesia after 25 years were normal.
“We understand that there are many shortcomings in the implementation this time, but thank God everything went smoothly. In the following years we believe that the MotoGP in Mandalika will be much better,” he said in front of the paddock, Sunday (20/3) night.
The Mandalika 2022 MotoGP race party is over, but there are many things that Indonesia needs to improve. As a party organizer, it is hoped that the host’s thoroughness and maturity will not lead to harsh criticism again.
