Homeless Man Trapped in Garbage Compactor in Frankfurt: Investigations Underway

The homeless man trapped in a garbage compactor in Frankfurt is a 30-year-old. A police spokesman said this on Friday at the request of the German Press Agency. Accordingly, investigations into the case are ongoing. The police were unable to provide any further information about the man’s health this morning. The 30-year-old was taken to a clinic on Thursday with serious injuries.

The waste disposal company FES said on Thursday that he probably lay down in a container for commercial waste to sleep. It was then dumped with the waste into the garbage truck and trapped there in the pressing plant. The machine was stopped immediately. The rescue by the fire brigade took two hours due to “complicated dismantling of the vehicle”, as the fire brigade announced on the internet platform X (formerly Twitter).
