Homecoming stories by plane: Avoid traffic jams, cars used for homecoming are sent by ship

“When we came home yesterday (homecoming to Aceh) by car. If it takes a long time, there will be traffic jams on the (land) road,” he explained.

“The delivery of the car to the house, (the price is pegged at) Rp. 4 million to Rp. 5 million,” said Bullah.

Not only avoiding traffic jams on land, Bullah also returned from his homecoming early because his daughter was about to return to college.

He admitted that he had no problem with the price of airline tickets during the period leading up to the peak of this backflow.

“The children want to go to school, go to college, so we go home first,” he said.

The flight ticket for the Kualanamu Airport-Soekarno-Hatta Airport route on Thursday is set at Rp 1.3 million.

Meanwhile, the same route that departs on Friday (6/5/2022) is set at around Rp. 2 million.

Met at the same location, another prospective passenger named Toni (38) admitted that he wanted to return from his homecoming on Thursday.

He wanted to return to his hometown in Surabaya, East Java, with five members of his family via Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

“I want to go back to Surabaya. The friendship is over. Indeed, the homecoming is here (in Jakarta),” said Toni, met at the same location, Thursday.

He intends to return from his homecoming on Thursday to avoid the peak of backflow at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Toni was worried that at the peak of the return flow, there would be many travelers who also wanted to return.

“Going home now to avoid backflow later if it’s crowded here, just anticipate it,” he said.

Toni added that he bought a plane ticket for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport route to Juanda Airport in Surabaya for Rp. 1.1 million.

He and his family departed at 17.00 WIB and arrived at Juanda Airport at around 19.00 WIB.
